Description
As an Investment Manager Onboarding Associate, you will coordinate the review, completion, and execution of the documentation required to onboard investment managers. You will work with internal teams, investment managers, custodians, banks, and other external parties to keep each implementation moving and ensure stakeholders complete the required actions within agreed timelines.

The Role
- Incorporate key client, investment, and operational details into agreements and related documentation for the investment of retirement plan assets.
- Review client documentation, including plan documents, trust agreements, and investment policies, in connection with AML and KYC requirements.
- Coordinate the legal, investment, administrative, and operational review of formal agreements required for investment manager implementation.
- Manage signature and execution activities and follow up on outstanding documentation or approvals.
- Communicate with investment managers, fund managers, custodians, banks, and other external parties to align documentation requirements and trade timelines.
- Monitor multiple onboarding processes, manage competing priorities, and keep internal teams informed of progress, dependencies, risks, and required actions.
- Build collaborative relationships across teams and communicate issues, recommendations, and status updates clearly and concisely.
- Develop broader knowledge of investment consulting, pension portfolios, investment fund structures, and manager onboarding processes.
Qualifications
At least three years of experience in investment operations or a closely related financial services environment, such as asset management, pensions, fiduciary or trust services, fund administration, custody, or banking.
Undergraduate degree in Law, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, International Business, Accounting or a related field.?A law degree or other relevant legal background is preferred.?
Experience preparing, reviewing, coordinating, or executing investment agreements, financial contracts, legal documentation, or onboarding documentation.?Candidates without formal legal background should demonstrate good proficiency in drafting and negotiating contracts in English.
Advanced written and spoken English.
Understanding financial contracts, legal terminology, and investment fund structures.
Project management or project coordination skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to meet deadlines while managing competing priorities.
Ability to work independently, take ownership of assigned processes, and collaborate effectively within a team.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Preferred experience
Investment manager onboarding, institutional investments, pension fund operations, or investment consulting.
Agreement preparation, document review, or legal documentation within a fiduciary, trust fund, or pension fund environment.
AML, KYC, client due diligence, or financial services onboarding processes.
