In Retirement, we?help organizations design, implement and manage retirement programs that meet the diverse needs of their workforce. Our Manila team delivers solutions that include actuarial consulting, person and retirement plan design, valuation services and retirement risk management. Combining advanced analytics, cutting-edge technology and deep expertise, we help clients across the Philippines and the wider region to navigate challenges in an evolving economic and regulatory landscape.

Our goal is to ensure financial security for employees while optimizing plan efficiency and compliance for our clients. On this three-month internship, you’ll do more than just experience our work – you’ll help deliver it.

Responsibilities:?
Joining us for three months, you’ll build invaluable real-world experience and apply your education in a challenging and rewarding environment. Being mentored and supported by experienced leaders, you will:

  • Develop and expand your actuarial knowledge
  • Gain hands-on experience in data evaluation, generating actuarial results and preparing reports
  • Validate and reconcile data
  • Support our wider process-improvement initiatives
  • Create Excel test cases for liability calculations
  • Analyse results at company and consolidation levels
  • Work with our market-leading valuation software
  • Learn every day, through a full induction, on-the-job experience and opportunities to work on a diverse range of projects with expert professionals.

Workstyles:

We’re open to hybrid working for this role. This means blending working at home with at least four days a month in the office, learning from experienced colleagues and getting to know your fellow interns. Your time in the office will also include attending meetings and undertaking scheduled training.

The Application Process:

Stage 3: Interviews, where you’ll meet members of the team, discuss your strengths and motivations, and ask any questions you may have. These will take place virtually.

Stage 4: Offer and acceptance

Stage 5: Keeping in touch, including an office visit and contact with a member of the team you will be joining.

Qualifications

To transform your tomorrow with a WTW internship, you’ll need to be:

  • In your penultimate or final year of university
  • Studying for a degree in?Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics or a related field
  • Proficient in Excel and other Microsoft Office tools?
  • Highly numerate, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • A strong written and verbal communicator
  • A quick learner who’s ready to solve challenging technical problems
  • Organized, with a keen attention to detail
  • A natural team player with a client-focused approach
  • Able to plan, manage and deliver multiple tasks

While not essential, completion of actuarial courses like Theory of Interest or Life Contingencies and passing one or more actuarial exams would be advantageous.
